About me and this blog

About me

My name is Fernando Santiago and I am a perpetual student. It is my goal to continue learning as much as I can for as long as I live. I consider myself a devoted husband and father, a hard worker, a problem solver and a teacher at heart.
I love reading, digital photography, watching movies and exploring the web to find the latest trends in technology, education, and social media. The best things I can think of doing are spending time with my family, giving presentations and trainings, helping people learn new skills, and reading a good book at night.
I am an amateur digital photographer with a lot to learn. I enjoy taking pictures with my Iphone or my DSLR camera and editing them on my ipad. You can see some of my pictures at http://dashoflightgallery.blogspot.com.

About this blog

I started this blog on January 2013 as a yearly project to learn calculus. Back in January of this year, I was struggling with the notion that I cheated myself form learning calculus in college because I thought I just could not handle it. That I was academically limited to learn calculus. See this early post to understand my motivation better. It was a thought that had been bouncing in my head for some years now. So I decided to do something about it and so I have.
This blog chronicles my first six months learning calculus by starting with pre-calculus. Hope you enjoy it.
